Overview
At DMCA Masters, we stand behind the quality of our anti-piracy enforcement services. We understand that engaging a service provider requires trust, and we want you to feel confident in your decision. This Refund Policy outlines when refunds may be issued and the process for requesting one.
Nature of Our Services
Anti-piracy enforcement is an ongoing, labor-intensive process. Once we begin work on your behalf — including monitoring for infringing content, identifying piracy sources, filing takedown notices, and corresponding with platforms — those services have been performed and cannot be "undone."
Because of this, our refund policy distinguishes between services that have not yet begun and services that are already in progress or completed.
Refund Eligibility
Full refund — service not yet started: If you cancel your subscription before we have begun any enforcement work on your behalf, you are entitled to a full refund of any fees paid. This typically applies within the first 48 hours of purchase, provided no takedown notices have been filed and no monitoring scans have been initiated.
Partial refund or credit — early cancellation: If you cancel after we have begun work but within the first 14 days of your subscription, we may issue a partial refund or service credit at our discretion, taking into account the volume of work already completed on your behalf.
No refund — services substantially performed: Once we have performed substantial enforcement work (takedown notices filed, monitoring reports delivered, platforms contacted), the fees for that billing period are non-refundable. This reflects the work already invested on your behalf.
What Is Not Refundable
Fees for completed billing periods where enforcement work was performed; setup fees, if applicable, once onboarding has been completed; services where takedown notices have already been filed and are pending platform action; and custom or enterprise engagements governed by a separate service agreement with its own refund terms.
Platform response times and outcomes are outside our control. A refund will not be issued solely because a specific platform was slow to respond or declined to act on a takedown notice, as long as we have performed the work diligently.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us at hello@dmcamasters.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include: your full name, the email address associated with your account, your subscription plan and start date, and a brief explanation of why you are requesting a refund.
We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. If your refund is approved, it will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days.
Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. Chargebacks incur processing fees and administrative costs that can be avoided through direct communication.
If you initiate a chargeback for services that were legitimately performed, we reserve the right to suspend your account and pursue recovery of the disputed amount plus any chargeback fees incurred.
Plan Changes and Downgrades
If you downgrade your service plan, the change will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. No refund or credit will be issued for the unused portion of the current billing period at the higher rate.
If you upgrade your plan mid-cycle, the prorated difference will be charged immediately and your new plan will take effect right away.
Exceptions
We understand that unusual circumstances arise. If you believe your situation warrants an exception to this policy, please contact us at hello@dmcamasters.com and we will review your case individually. We are committed to treating every client fairly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The refund terms that were in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to that transaction.
